32 years ago, President
& Founder Alana Hayden was approached by Joy Adamson
& the Elsa Wildlife Foundation of ‘Born Free’ fame to help organize
a ‘Born Free Safari’. After a very successful trip, and Alana’s
first visit to Africa, this unforgettable destination became a passion,
a regular departure, and the beginning of Born Free Safaris. Shortly
thereafter, Alana became a founder of the Association for Promotion
of Tourism to Africa (APTA) and Born Free Safaris it’s charter member. In 2008, Born Free Safa5is was recognized by Dr. Ongong'a Achieng, Managing Director of the Kenya Tourist Board for its integral part in furthering tourism to Kenya with high standards and service.
Today, still privately
owned and operated, Born Free Safaris & Tours is an All of
Africa tour operator with offices in Los Angeles, California;
Denver, Colorado & onsite offices in Africa.

Trip Coordinators
The planning of your trip is the key ingredient to making yours
a successful one. Born Free Safari Specialists are not booking agents,
we are experts in our field. It is our goal to assist you in every
aspect of planning your trip and making sure that you have selected
the right trip. We are always delighted to discuss your questions,
concerns and special interests as you prepare for your exciting
trip to Africa.
Departures Guaranteed
You are guaranteed to go on a trip once we have received your deposit and confirmed your services. If your chosen tour can not operate for some reason beyond our control, we will do everything possible to substitute a tour that meets your requirements and travel dates.
Small Groups - Personal Attention
It is our policy to limit the size of all trips. This is to ensure the personal attention for which Born Free Safaris has become known. Check trip details for the exact number of travelers on your selected trip; even though group sizes are small, actual participants may vary. There is never a surcharge for small groups.

Born Free Safaris is an ARC Accredited Agency (Airlines Reporting Corporation)
with an experienced in-house Air Department. We have special contracted
rates with South African Airways, NorthWest, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and
Kenya
Airways allowing us to offer you very competitive prices on your international
flights in addition to your land arrangements and flights within Africa. We can
book from many cities of origin in the United States and offer great schedules
to match. So before you use your frequent flyer miles or book your flights
somewhere else, give us a try!

Born Free Safaris & Tours has designed innovative tours for Isuzu Motors, Denver Botanical Gardens, IBM Alumni, The Sierra Club, Harvard-Westlake School & the Agape Church. Extensive references can be supplied upon request.
For the Business or the Incentive Group, Born Free Safari Specialists are experienced in arranging trips of varying length, size & budget. Africa is the premium award, presenting a unique forum for meetings, retreats and incentives. It will be an award of dreams that will remain in the minds of staff members for the rest of their lives.
Born Free Safaris Group Specialist staff arrange trips for museums,
