BOTSWANA
Day 2 - Okavango Delta - Moremi Game Reserve
Depart on an early morning flight from Johannesburg. Your safari begins on arrival to Maun and then onward to the Okavango Delta. Fly over the Okavango on a low-level flight which offers wonderful opportunity for aerial photography. The Okavango is the jewel in Botswana's crown. This unique freshwater system is born from the waters that flow down from the highlands and die in the sands of the Kalahari to create the world's largest inland delta. This seasonally flooded area consists of marshes and lagoons, dry woodlands and grassy savannas. On your way from the airstrip, enjoy a game drive during the drive to your camp.

Day 3-4 - Okavango Delta - Moremi Game Reserve
Swamps, islands, floodplains, forests and dry savannah support a great amount of wildlife in Moremi Game Reserve. Explore trails on game drives and the winding waterways by mokoro (traditonal cut-out canoes). The Okavango Delta has a great variety of wildlife and habitats. The animals on view are astonishing. All the major predators as well as elephant, buffalo, hippo, giraffe, waterbuck, red lechwe and many more. The habitats vary from cathedral mopane forests and ebony groves to open flood plains and palm fringed lagoons. Activities include game drives, boat rides and mokoro (traditional cut-out canoe) rides, which take you into the heart of the delta where one explores its many channels, waterways and islands. Bird life is abundant here with over 400 species recorded in the area. Also, as the sun sets, another world awaits as the sights and sounds of the nocturnal bush come alive.

The bird life is abundant and there’s the chance you may see elephants crossing the channels. After a day of exploring the lagoons and channels, you will arrive at the camp for your night under the stars.

Day 9-11 - Chobe National Park
From Khwai you will fly by light aircraft to your next camp in the Chobe National Park to overnight at Chobe Private Luxury Mobile Tented Camp. Chobe is famous for its huge herds of elephant congregating along the Chobe River to quench their thirsts. During the dry season, between July and November, this area has the largest concentration of elephant anywhere in Africa. Buffalo also gather here in their thousands as they are attracted by the water and the lush green grass of the fertile Caprivi Strip. With such great numbers of animals, which also include the rarely seen sable, roan antelope, puku, bushbuck, and many more, come the big predators, such as lion, leopard and hyena. There will be several game drives included along the Chobe River.
