Day 1 - USA - Amsterdam
Board your KLM Royal Dutch Airlines/Northwest flight and begin your journey.
Day 2 - Arrival Nairobi, Kenya
Arrival in Amsterdam, where you connect to your KLM flight. Upon arrival in Kenya, you are welcomed by our local representative and escorted to the hotel.

Day 3 - Tree Hotel
Meet your Born Free Guide and board the your safari vehicle heading north into the Kikuyu countryside. A great introduction to the wildlife are the unique tree hotels. Built high atop towering logs the lodges overlook floodlit waterholes. Sip a refreshing drink, sit back and watch as the wildlife comes to you.

Day 4 - Cross the Equator / Mt. Kenya Safari Club
Continue on to the Mount Kenya Safari Club, stopping en route as you cross the Equator. Enjoy the optional leisure amenities: go for a swim, play golf or take a horseback ride. Good food, magnificent scenery and superior rooms make this a world class resort.

Day 5-6 - Masai Mara Game Reserve
After a leisurely breakfast, board a flight over the Great Rift Valley to the splendid Masai Mara Reserve. The gently rolling savannah and rushing rivers provide the perfect terrain to see a wealth of wildlife, including elephants, lion, impala, zebra, giraffe, waterbuck and cheetah. Your base for explorations will be a fabulous deluxe tented camp. Each tent offers the comforts of a lodge with the ambience of the "Out of Africa" tented safari. Each unit
is built on a cement base and features bathrooms en suite. Service and food is unsurpassed. Morning & afternoon game viewing from special 4-wheel drive safari cruisers.

Day 7-8 - Mt. Kilimanjaro / Amboseli National Park
Fly from the Masai Mara to Nairobi. Have lunch at a local restaurant and then proceed to Amboseli. Majestic snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro's 19,352 foot peak dominates the area. This park has a booming elephant population as well as giraffe, monkey, cheetah and other plains game. Early and late afternoon game drives offer the best time to photograph the wildlife with Mount Kilimanjaro as the background.

Day 9-10 - Tarangire National Park
Cross into Tanzania at the Namanga border and continue to Arusha for lunch. Then on through the Tanzania countryside to Tarangire, the quintessence of Old Africa. Tarangire not only has excellent big game but also features over 300 bird species! The intriguing atmosphere seems prehistoric with ancient baobab trees, scrub bush and outlines of strangely horned antelopes and tall giraffe.

Day 11 - Lake Manyara National Park
The lush countryside gives way to the foothills of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment and Lake Manyara. Your accommodations are situated on the Great Rift Valley Wall, overlooking the lake, forests, marsh, grass and scrubland of Lake Manyara. Inhabitants include hippos, monkeys, elephant, and it is the home of the tree-climbing lions.

Day 12-13 - Walk with the Masai/Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, enjoy a walk with the Masai. Then proceed to Plantation Lodge for lunch. Continue on to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater for overnight. Ngorongoro Crater supports the largest non-migratory population of wildlife in East Africa. The following day you'll descend 2,000 feet into the crater for a full day of game viewing in 4x4 vehicles.

Day 14-16 - Serengeti National Park
Drive into the spectacular Serengeti Plains by way of Olduvai Gorge, the archaeological site made famous by the discoveries of the Leakey family. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch, followed by a game drive. The Serengeti terrain, which consists of grasslands, savannah and rock outcroppings, covers an area larger than the state of Connecticut. It is said to offer one of the world's greatest wildlife spectacles.

Day 17 - Arusha & Departure
Bid a fond farewell to the great African bush as you board your flight to Arusha. A dayroom awaits, while time is available for last minute shopping at Cultural Heritage. Late this evening you will board your departing
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flight to the USA.

18 - Amsterdam - USA
Connect in Amsterdam and board your flight to the USA. Welcome Home!
