Day
1 - CAIRO
You are met and assisted through customs and immigrations. Touring will depend on your arrival time. In most cases you are escorted to your choice of hotels with the rest of the day at leisure. Evening Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids.

2 - CAIRO
Today's sightseeing takes you to the fabulous Egyptian Museum. Regarded as one of the most prominent in the world, it offers visitors remarkable insights into Egypt’s ancient history dating back 5000 years. The priceless antiquities include King Tutankhamon’s Treasures -- a spectacle beyond belief! After lunch visit Cheop's Pyramid--one of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World -- and the Sphinx, the great god-lion sentinel, built over 35 centuries ago. The towering pyramid stands majestically on a desert plateau with two slightly smaller pyramids
(one built by Cheop’s son Kephren and the other by Mycerinus) erected to preserve their bodies and treasures for the afterlife. Touring includes a visit to the bazaar which features a wondrous variety of items and bargains galore!

Day 3 - LUXOR / NILE CRUISE
You are picked up at the hotel and taken to the airport for a short flight to Luxor where you are escorted to your Nile Cruise ship. After getting oriented on the ship and lunch – head out to visit the Luxor and Karnak Temples, a city of pylons, halls, colossal statues and obelisks built over many centuries and dedicated to the God Amon-Ra, his consort Mut, and their son Khonsu.

4 - NILE CRUISE / EDFU
After breakfast, cross the Nile to Luxor's West Bank, where you’ll explore the astonishing and extensive New Kingdom city of "Thebes". Sightseeing includes the Valley of the Kings where some 64 of Egypt's Pharaohs have their palatial resting places hewn into the sheer rock; the Valley of the Queens, the stupendous Deir El Bahari mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an architectural tour-de-force built against the backdrop of a looming cliff face and the Colossi of Memnon, two huge seated statues of Amenhotep III. In the afternoon, the cruise will continue along the Nile to Edfu via Esna.

5 - EDFU / KOM OMBO-ASWAN / NILE CRUISE
An exhilarating carriage ride takes you through town to the Temple of Horus, the Falcon God. Return to your ship and sail to Kom Ombo to visit the Graeco - Roman style Temple of Sobek, the Crocodile God. Standing serenely on a hilltop, the site offers an incredible view over the Nile. Then sail on to Aswan.

6 - ASWAN
Morning Aswan's Old and High Dams, the ancient Granite Quarries, and the Temple of Philae. After lunch we sail around Elephantine Island, the Botanical Gardens. Disembark after lunch. Transfer to Aswan Airport for your flight back to Cairo, where you connect to your onward flight to Nairobi, Kenya.

*Guests wishing to visit Abu Simbel fly from Aswan to this dramatic site to visit the Temples of Ramses II and Queen Neferatri. The figures were moved up the hillside to keep them from destruction by flooding from the Nile when the High Dam was built forming Lake Nasser.
KENYA
Day
7 - NAIROBI
Arrival in the early morning, you are met by our Kenya representative and escorted to your waiting hotel room.
This afternoon you are introduced to the wildlife of Kenya and some of the history of the country. Touring will include the Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Center and the National Museum.

A) SAFARI SIMBA CLASSIC
Visit the great Masai-Mara, Lake Nakuru National Park to hopefully see the flamingoes and then on to the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro and the Amboseli National Park.
From the open plains of the Mara, to the waters of Lake Nakuru and the shadows of Mt. Kilimanjaro – this safari takes in three of the most picturesque regions in Kenya. It provides the perfect opportunity to spot the Big 5 and compare diverse scenery.

8-9 - MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
Depart on safari heading out of the Great Rift Valley Wall descending into the Masai Mara. Game viewing enroute to the lodge. Afternoon game drive.
The Mara offers unsurpassed game viewing. In one sweep of binoculars you can see a hundred elephants, lion, impala, zebra, and wildebeest. Don't miss the dawn game drives. The plains are gold, and the silhouettes of elephant, giraffe, and lion can be seen. Become a part of the life in the Mara - birth, feeding, death and life, an incredible experience that you will never forget.
On the following day enjoy both a morning and afternoon game drive.

10 - LAKE NAKURA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast drive though the Mara to Lake Nakuru – home to flamingoes, rhino, waterbuck and hundreds of bird species. Afternoon game drive.

11-12 - AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Head out this morninng to the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is a dry lake bed, it is home to elephant, giraffe, cheetah, zebra and hundreds of monkeys and plains game.
The following morning, you are up at dawn for an early morning game drive – this is also the best time to see the snow-capped Kilimanjaro. Morning and afternoon game drives.

13 - YOUR JOURNEY ONWARDS
Bid sad farewell to the African bush and head back to Nairobi (optional flight) arriving in early afternoon. Dayroom available for your convenience – transfers to the airport for your flight home.
