Located outside Nairobi – the Windsor is and excellent property to start or end your safaris. An elegant property and a beautiful golf course. It is the only course in Africa listed in the "Great Golf Resorts of the World". It has its challenges but is very enjoyable. The fairways are very green and the forests are inhabited by the Sykes monkey and dozens of colorful birds.

Muthaiga Golf Club is one of the most beautiful of Kenya's golf courses. It lies at the edge of Karura forest. It is the home of the Kenya Open Golf Championship which is part of the European PGA. The layout offers many challenges including the fastest greens in all of East Africa. The course has undergone a complete reconstruction by course architect Peter Markovich, who designed Arabella Golf Club. That course was voted one of the top courses in South Africa.

LIMURU COUNTRY CLUB - 6519 Yards - Par 71 – 18 Holes

Limuru is located in Kenya's tea growing area and is very appealing with it's lush, green course and well manicured grounds. It is a 45 minute drive through rolling tea plantations. The course is located at the elevation of 7000 feet. Sand traps are deep with large mounds. It is a wonderful course to play and is lush providing a wonderful green turf year round.

ROYAL NAIROBI GOLF CLUB - 7021 Yards - Par 71 – 18 Holes

This course is relatively flat for the first nine holes, while the back nine offer easy rolling hills. The course is well maintained with the typical Kenya flowering bushes and trees. The Ngong Hills can be seen from the course offering a beautiful backdrop to several of the fairways. The Royal plays host to some of the country's biggest golfing events.

KAREN GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB - 6892 Yards - Par 72 – 18 Holes

Karen Golf Club was the home of Kenya's 2004 & 2005 Open. It is considered to be one of the prettiest courses in Kenya because of the flowering plants that line the area. It is one of the top 18-hole courses in the country and should be a must play. It is located in the Nairobi suburb of Karen and close to the home of the author whose memoir; “Out of Africa” lived and work. The club was founded in 1937, the same year that the book was published. This is a true favorite for many golfers visiting Kenya.

SIGONA GOLF CLUB - 6519 Yards - Par 71 – 18 Holes

An excellent course located in the Rift Valley approximately one hour from Nairobi at an altitude of 6,600 feet. Again, another course that is verdant green throughout the year. The course is hilly and most of the tees are elevated. It is a course that will test your skills along with your physical conditioning. This course is tough but nice to play.

RIFT VALLEY GOLF CLUB & RESORT - 6580 Yards - Par 72 – 18 Holes

Located approximately 1 hour from Nairobi, it is a popular course with local golfers. It has not only a spectacular setting but offers a challenge to play. David Jones, the professional golfer was the first player to break the 71 par, and described it as the best ‘young' course he has ever played. We would suggest staying at the club's beautiful lodge and visiting Lake Nakuru during your stay.

Since it opened in 2000, the Great Rift Valley Golf Course has earned a reputation as one of the most challenging and breathtakingly beautiful of all Africa's championship courses. Set on the slopes of a small dormant volcano with unspoiled scenery in all directions, most holes on this course enjoy stunning views of mountains, plains, lakes and both escarpments of the Rift Valley itself. The 18-hole course is laid out around the Great Rift Valley Lodge and along the fairways are 80 generously spaced privately owned homes, some of which are let out to hotel guests. The front nine holes of the course enjoy the best views, but the back nine are where guests will find the more challenging and exciting golf! One recent guest at the course wrote, "This is a great course! The four finishing holes are the best and hardest we have seen anywhere."

NAKURU GOLF CLUB - 6802 Yards - Par 73 – 18 Holes

The course was opened in 1929 by Lord Francis Scott and rests on the slopes of the Menengai Volcanic Crater. It is the only uphill course in Kenya. Lake Nakuru itself is the home of various wildlife species including waterbuck, giraffe and the beautiful pink flamingos. From the 8th and 18th hole you can peak views of this magnificent site. It is important to note that in the dry season January-March it is difficult to play due to a poor watering system however, it is exciting to play and provides some unusual challenges during the rest of the year.

COASTAL CLUBS
If time permits, we would suggest visiting the beautiful Indian Ocean Kenya coast and one of the great golf courses.

NYALI GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB - 6510 Yards - Par 71 – 18 Holes

Nyali Beach Club is located on the Kenya coast. The course is not located on the ocean, because of the winds influence on play, but a mere 1 mile inland. This championship golf course was the first 18 holes on Kenya's coast. It is a rolling course with a mixture of right and left doglegs and shallow fairway bushes. There is a chance to see wildlife including vervet monkeys and dik-dik.

This golf course is one of the most challenging in Kenya. It features American style bunkers and has imported United States grasses for use on the tees and fairways. There are two water features and a manmade lake. The 18th hole is 547 years par five dogleg, with a lake with live crocodiles – the course is not for the faint of heart!!!
