REVIEW:
Hidden Kenya more then met my expectations. I had heard that Kenya had was overcrowded. I never felt this way. We traveled to remote locations but always had the best foods, accommodations and guides. It was great to get out and walk and visit the villages. One of the highlights was horseback riding among the giraffe and zebra. (BF note – novice riders may participate)

Norfolk Hotel

Day 2-3 - AMBOSELI GAME RESERVE
After breakfast, board your flight to the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro and the Amboseli Game Reserve. You are met by professional guides who take you on your first exciting game drive in the bush en route to your lodge. Amboseli is a place of stark contrast, the name meaning "salty dust" in Masai. Amboseli, despite its sometimes dry and dusty appearance, has an endless supply of water filtered through thousands of feet of volcanic rock from Mt. Kilimanjaro’s snow melt. These underground streams converge into clear fresh water springs in the heart of the park. The powder like dust is volcanic ash, which was thrown from Kilimanjaro millennia ago. The main attraction of Amboseli is its vast herds of elephant within the park. The bull elephants here have some of the largest tusks in Kenya. Early morning and late afternoon photographic opportunities are incredible, with plentiful game and Mt. Kilimanjaro (the highest freestanding mountain in the world) providing an impressive and majestic backdrop.
Amboseli Tortilis (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 4 - GIRAFFE MANOR
Today you will fly back to Nairobi to one of the most unique accommodations in the world. The Giraffe Manor is an elegant, personally hosted, small and exclusive hotel, famous for its resident herd of giraffe. The Giraffe Manor offers a rich blend of welcoming accommodation, highly trained and friendly staff, as well as one of Nairobi's finest kitchens. The Giraffe Manor is surrounded by 140 acres of indigenous forest just outside Nairobi. As well as the giraffe, the property is also home to many species of birds, large families of warthogs and the elusive Bush Buck.
Giraffe Manor (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Giraffe Manor is a very small inn with limited availability – availability will be advised at time of booking.

Day 5-7 - LEWA CONSERVANCY
A very special breakfast awaits at Giraffe Manor (we will leave that as a surprise) before you board your flight to the Lewa Conservancy. Lewa Downs is possibly the best known and most successful ranch/home stay in Kenya. It provides a gracious combination of hospitality, unforgettable scenery and good wildlife. Located near Isiolo in the foothills of Mt. Kenya, Lewa Downs is an 18,000-hectare cattle ranch and has been home to the Craig family for three generations. Camp will be the old Rhino Sanctuary headquarters. Stay in large beautiful tents with full facilities and swimming pool.

During your stay at Lewa there will never be a lack of activities. Head out on traditional game drive in open vehicles, excite in a night drive, visit a traditional village. Then you can select from one of the featured activities such as horseback safari or camel experience.
Lewa Safari Camp (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Note: Lewa is closed from April 1 - May 1 and Oct 21 - Dec 1. If you wish to book this itinerary during this period - we will suggest an alternative.

Day 8-10 - MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
Up early this morning as you will fly from Lewa to the Masai Mara. The Mara is the northern extension of the Serengeti Plains of Tanzania and is an essential part of the ecosystem. The annual migration of the wildebeest head from the Serengeti into the Mara in the north, with them follow the predators. However, the Mara has fabulous resident game all year round and in never fails to disappoint. In one sweep of binoculars you can see a hundred elephants, lion, cheetah, impala, zebra, and wildebeest. Become a part of the life in the Mara - birth, feeding, death and life, an incredible experience that you will never forget.

Embark on morning and afternoon game drives in search of your favorite species. Your knowledgeable guides are experts in finding the wildlife. The customized vehicles are equipped with oversized windows and large photographic hatches making sure that you have the best unobstructed views of this spectacular area.

Highly recommended accommodation: "...Leleshwa is located in a concession area just outside the Mara, so they may offer night drives and walks that you cannot do inside the reserve. It is also located away from the high concentration of camps along the Mara River which means you can have a better game viewing experience without being surrounded by minivans. The food is excellent - hard to believe you can get such wonderful food in the middle of the bush. Drinks are included in the cost and the staff are friendly and very efficient. If you are looking for an authentic safari experience away from the crowds without sacrificing any level of comfort, this is it."
Your Choice Of Deluxe Camps:
Leleshwa Camp
or Little Governor's (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Optional Hot Air Balloon safari available upon request.

Day 11 - YOUR JOURNEY ONWARDS
Fly from the Mara back to Nairobi, where you will be transferred to a dayroom to unwind before your international departure.

(Breakfast)

How about extending your stay in Africa with a breathtaking exotic retreat to one of our Jewels Of The Indian Ocean? How about adding a Gorilla Trek through the Uganda rain forests to discover the wonders and brilliance of the elusive mountain gorillas, up close and very personal?
