Born Free Safaris was incorporated 32 years ago with the approval of Joy Adamson the author of the book of the same name. President Alana Hayden founded the Association for the Promotion of Tourism to Africa (APTA) - an organization that taught members of the travel industry how to select the best safari for the traveler. APTA is now world-wide and has over a thousand safari professionals as its members.

Small groups or tailor made private safaris are Born Free’s forte. We combine the best Africa has to offer - highlighting properties from the portfolios of CCAfrica, Wilderness Safaris, Sanctuary Lodge, unique bush homes, the best of the main stream lodges and many others. We recommend what is right for you and are not guided by our financial interests.
