1 - Your Home Town / Amsterdam
Board your KLM/Northwest flight from the USA and through the
gateway city of Amsterdam on your journey to Africa. You may
stopover in Amsterdam by request.

2-3 - Nairobi / Giraffe Center
Depart from Amsterdam and touchdown this evening in Nairobi,
Kenya. You will be greeted by the Born Free representative and escorted to your hotel located just outside the city. While in Nairobi, visit the Daphne Sheldrick Wildlife Orphanage and watch a demonstration at the famous Kazuri Beads workshop. Stop at the Giraffe Center before returning to the Norfolk Hotel for overnight.

4-5 - Amboseli National Park / Mt. Kilimanjaro
After breakfast, a short flight will take you to the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
The majestic snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro's 19,352 foot peak dominates the area and makes a great photographic background. There is a booming elephant population as well as other plains game.
On arrival you are met by the gracious Tortilis Camp staff – there
will be game viewing on the way to camp. Photo opportunities abound: elephant, monkey,
cheetah and zebra seemingly pose for our cameras against the breath-taking
landscape.

6-7 - Samburu Game Park
Breakfast in the shadows of Mt. Kilimanjaro, and then wing your way north – flying over the Equator to the Northern Frontier District and
Samburu. An afternoon game drive, your guide will point out species that are not found in the southern parks such as the Somali ostrich, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx and the long-necked Gerenuk.
Samburu Intrepids is situated on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River where herds of elephant, buffalo and zebra come daily to drink. Visit this dramatic wilderness through stirring early morning game drives, walking safaris with skilled Samburu guides, camel rides, and raft trips when the river is high.

8-10 - Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, fly over the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. The Mara
Reserve offers unsurpassed game viewing. In one sweep of binoculars you can see a hundred elephants, lion, impala, zebra, and wildebeest.
On dawn game drives, the sunrise sheds a golden haze upon the
plains. It is truly an unforgettable sight as the morning is
highlighted with the silhouettes of elephant, giraffe and lion. Become a part of the life in the Mara - birth, feeding, death and life, an incredible experience that you will never forget.

Activity: Hot-Air Balloon Safari
Sitting above a
bend in the Talek River, at the confluence of the Masai Mara’s four game-viewing areas, the camp enjoys one of the most spectacular locations in the entire Mara ecosystem. Mara Intrepid offers
three game drives per day in camp vehicles plus a trip to the local village which is part of a community development project.

11 - Mara / Nairobi
Breakfast in the African bush and then you fly to Nairobi where a vehicle and guide is at your disposal for all your last minute shopping and sightseeing. A dayroom is available for your
convenience for your transfer to the airport for your flight home or onward destination.

After
connecting in Amsterdam, continue on your journey home.
