MOZAMBIQUE
Tuesday, Day 1 - BEIRA / GORONGOSA NATIONAL PARK
Today, arrive in Beira where you will be met by a Born Free representative. Then by road you will travel to the Gorongosa National Park gate. A brief afternoon game drive will take you to Chitengo and your lodging at Explore Gorongosa for the evening.

Day 2-5 - GORONGOSA NATIONAL PARK
Today you will explore the park with the first private operator in Mozambique’s flagship national park. With unique safaris, they are 100% flexible and are led by some of the region’s finest professional guides.
Gorongosa is home to an astounding diversity of animals and plants—some of which are found no where else in the world. This rich biodiversity creates a complex world where animals, plants and people interact. From the smallest insects to the largest mammals, each plays an important role in the Gorongosa ecosystem.
With a maximum capacity of only eight guests at any one time, Explore Gorongosa offers a truly intimate, private and unique southern Africa safari experience.
Explore Gorongosa specialises in walking safaris and also offers game drives in Gorongosa National Park. Accommodation is in semi-permanent tents, with eco friendly toilets, vanity tables and outdoor bucket showers.
The Gorongosa Park Restoration Project is slowly restoring the numbers of wildlife in the park, and birding is excellent with rare birds in the rainforests atop Mount Gorongosa.

Day 6 - GORONGOSA / BEIRA / PEMBA / VAMIZI
Today you get to see a variety of the country as you travel by land and air to your next exotic destination. This morning you will be driven to the airport for your flight to Pemba. on arrival connect with your flight to Vamizi. On arrival you will be warmly welcomed and driven to the luxurious Vamizi Island.

Day 7-9 - VAMIZI ISLAND
Arrival in Vamizi is like a breath of fresh air. The island's near perfect white coral beaches and breathtakingly beautiful shallows are just the tip of the tropical iceberg. Beneath the surface of the Vamizi seas is an outstanding reefscape - mountains, valleys, plateaux and cliffs- teeming with a bewildering amount of sea life, from whales, dolphins, turtles and reef sharks to gregorian corals and giant clams. Vamizi Island lies right by the point where the south equatorial current splits. Simply put, whether you want to dive, fish, swim or snorkel, this is the place.
The miles of prestine white sand and wild bushy interior are also a sanctuary for samango monkeys, coconut crabs and the 112 species of tropical birds that live here, as well as being a haven for the more land-based creatures amongst us. Like the 100 turtles that nest on Vamizi's empty shores and are irresistibly drawn to its peace, solitude and perfect harmony year after year, intrepid travellers and rarified pleasure seekers find it’s just the place to rest their weary fins.

After breakfast, spend your morning on the beach before bidding farwell to Mozambique and boarding your onward international flight.
