KENYA

Day 1 - NAIROBI
Upon arrival in Nairobi you will be assisted by a Born Free personal escort and assisted through the airport formalities. Board your vehicle and head to your waiting hotel. Express check-in services.

Day 2-3 - AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK and MT. KILIMANJARO
After a buffet breakfast, there is a short Safari Briefing. Meet your guide and head out on the Mombasa Highway to Amboseli and the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The majestic snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro's 19,352 foot peak dominates the area and makes a great photographic background. There is a booming elephant population as well as other plains game. There will be a morning and afternoon game drive. The next day, you're up just before dawn with a fresh cup of tea or coffee, and then off on an early morning game drive, the best time to see the majestic peak of Kilimanjaro. You'll then return back to the lodge for a delicious breakfast before additional game drives throughout the day.

Day 4 - OL PEJETA and CHIMP SANCTUARY
After breakfast at in Amboseli, drive North stopping at a Nairobi Restaurant lunch. Then continue North to a private 110,000 acre ranch and sanctuary for Jane Goodall's chimps and the endangered rhino. This area is also inhabited by zebra, giraffe and elephant. Sweetwaters tented camp will be our base for explorations. Have a taste of the old Africa but with all the conveniences of a hotel. This property features well appointed tents built on platforms with proper bathroom facilities en suite. Watch from your private verandah as the wildlife visits the waterhole. Evening brings an opportunity for optional night game viewing.

Day 5 - LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Head south to one of the fabulous Great Rift Valley Lakes. Lake Nakuru National Park is the ornithologist's dream come true, Lake Nakuru is home to sometimes over a million pink guests - the greater and lesser flamingos - as well as nearly 500 other species of bird. Though primarily a bird sanctuary the 100 sq. mile park is also a black rhino sanctuary. Reed buck, hippo, leopard, waterbuck, Black Colobus monkey and the introduced Rothschild giraffe can be seen. The park also boasts the greatest concentration of leopard in Kenya.

Day 6-9 - MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
After breakfast drive to Nairobi. Lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. Thereafter transfer to Wilson Airport for afternoon flight to Masai Mara. Masai Mara offers unsurpassed game viewing. In one sweep of binoculars you can see a hundred elephants, lion, impala, zebra, and wildebeest. The plains are gold and the silhouettes of elephant, giraffe, and lion can be seen. Become a part of the life in the Mara - birth, feeding, death and life, an incredible experience that you will never forget. Morning and afternoon game drives. Your base for explorations will be one of the deluxe safari camps. These tented properties will give you a taste of old Africa but with all the conveniences of a hotel.

Day 10 - YOUR JOURNEY ONWARDS
Bid farewell to the Mara and the wonderful friends you have made. Board your short 40 minute flight back to Nairobi where you are met and escorted to your hotel. A room is available for your convenience until 6p.m. Transfers to the airport for your departing international flight.
